The newest Prince of Persia, which was released at the end of last year, now has new upcoming downloadable content. The pack was intended to be released on the 26th of February, however has been delay until March 5th.

The epilogue takes place right after the ending of the original game. Though not much is known about the epilogue's plot, it's set in an entirely new area called the Underground Palace. Additionally, a new power for Elika added that allows her to materialize an area, allowing her and the Prince to access areas normally out of reach. There is also a new enemy in the DLC called the Shapeshifter, who is a mesh between the Warrior and the Hunter from the original retail game. Furthermore, there will be two new unlockable character skins accessible when you beat the epilogue.

Max wrote a post in December about Guitar Hero: Metallica. Every single aspect of his post is true. This should just be released as DLC. However here we are; it's February, and this money magnet of a game is upon us. So without further ado, here's some more terrible character models to look at.

Puzzle Quest Galactrix Preview

I've always enjoyed puzzle games, though I'll admit, I suck at a lot of them. My friend Ronnie found a little puzzle game called Puzzle Quest Galactrix. The developers, Infinite Interactive have a working demo of the game for you to play. It seems to be a clever spin-off on the popular game Bejeweled, with the exception that the combo chains you make by connecting the gems on the board will give you benefits such as: armor, shields, weapons, etc. Naturally, your primary goal is to defeat your opponent, who you will be alternating turns with.

The game will be releasing on February 24th for the Nintendo DS, Playstation 3 Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and the PC. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode, allowing up to four players to duke it out in a good old-fashion free-for-all. With a limited amount of puzzle games to choose from these days, Galactrix is definitely one to keep your eye out for.

Slumdog Millionaire Review

Jamal and Latika
If there is a movie to start off this year with a bang, Slumdog Millionaire is that movie. Filmed in India, the cast, including lead actors Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, and Madhur Mittal give a stunning performance that takes a clever spin on the popular game show, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." Jamal (Patel) finds a way to get onto the India version of the show simply to be seen by the only woman he wants to be with, Latika (Pinto). The movie is an adaptation of the Commonwealth Writers' Prize-nominated novel "Q and A" by Indian author Vikas Swarup.

The movie begins with Jamal being brutally interrogated by officials who believe he had cheated his way to a fortune of ten million rupees on the game show. The rest of the movie is learning about how his entire life has been intertwined with the coincidental answers to all of the questions he had been asked on the show, proving that he was telling the truth and not cheating the system.

Jamal on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Directed by Danny Boyle, Slumdog Millioinaire displays the true essence of skillfully crafted filming. Being shot in India, you get an immerse sense of what it was like for Jamal and his brother Salim (Mittal) to grow up in the slums of Mumbai, India. The realism that the movie portrays will leave you with a lasting appreciation for the conveniences that will live with here in America. Furthermore, the soundtrack to the movie was well picked, which is, unfortunately, not the case for most films these days.

The movie has be acclaimed as, "a piece of riveting cinema, meant to be savored as a Cinderella-like fairy tale" says Nikhat Kazm of Times of India. Controversy has risen about the portrayal of India in the film, however, the overwhelming majority of critics have openly embraced the thrilling tale of the transformation of one poor boy's life.

If you haven't seen a movie in the theaters in awhile because you're scared that you're going to be spending your hard-earned $10.50 on garbage, then fear not. Slumdog Millionaire delivers in old-style storybook happy-ending fashion. Throughout the movie you become engulfed in the incredibly well-done depiction of the characters and the setting of India. This film will leave you will a feeling of satisfied love and justified brotherhood. If you don't get the pleasure of seeing this incredible piece of filming in the theaters, don't hesitate to throw it into your cart when it's released on DVD in the upcoming months.

The Fratellis Coming to Rock Band DLC

It's apparent that Apple likes to pick up some of the more indie artists to promote their commercials. The Fratellis were one of them chosen few, being featured in their past iPod commercial. However, now, the fairly unknown band will be making their appearance on Rock Band. The DLC content will include the band's following three songs:

* "Henrietta"
* "Flathead"
* "Creepin' Up The Back Stairs"

Now I don't normally buy Rock Band DLC, but this is a very good band whom I have been listening to for quite some time now. You'll be able to buy the tracks individually or in a bundle. $1.99 per song, or $5.49 for the entire pack. Definitely worth checking out.

Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ Review

Great name, and overall great game too. EnjoyUp's Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for the Nintendo DS takes everything from the past that you like in shmups and consolidates it into one far-out adventure. You'll be fighting a nice variety of enemies throughout the levels as well as some cleverly crafted bosses. You'll even experience a nice drop in frame-rate when there are multiple enemies on-screen...

The game makes good use of the dual-screen since the levels will be scrolling down passed your character, who is locked on a grid at the bottom of the screen. The different weapons that you collect are displayed on your screen and can be selected at any time. You can find the different weapons by shooting crates. If you wanted you could control the entire game with the stylus, but I found moving my character with the directional pad was much more comfortable. However, you will find certain scenarios that you'll need to move your character fast, thus, touching the individual zones at the bottom of the screen is the most efficient way. Double tapping the screen will launch a big bomb, however, this can become frustrating since it's fairly easy to accidentally double tap, losing one of your very valuable and limited bombs.

Hordes of undead will be bombarding your cute little character. The game can get quite difficult at certain parts in the game, most notably during the boss fight of the three little pigs. I only wish that they had included checkpoints within the levels, seeing as if you died at any point in the level, you would have to start from the beginning. Each level of the game introduces new types of zombies to kill, all who had unique ways of trying to kill you. Additionally, new obstacles to dodge such as laser and/or suicidal birds are added in each level.

Overall, the game delivers a rewarding experience. The ending of the game is kind of abrupt and open-ended. EnjoyUp's definitely wants you too play the harder difficulty to understand the entirety of the story. I've started it on the Hard difficulty and it definitely is a greater challenge to traverse a single level. Seeing how you can find Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for only $20.00 in stores, even less for a used copy, there's no reason why this shouldn't become an impulse buy next time your at your local game retailer.

F.E.A.R. 2 Demo Incoming

With F.E.A.R. 2's release impending (February 10, 2009), Warner Bros. has announced that the demo will be released on January 22. Between this and the Resident Evil 5 demo, the next couple of weeks will be busy on the demo front.

The F.E.A.R. series, for those not introduced, combines excellent first person shooting (with bullet time -- awesome!) and adds a touch of good psychological horror. No, there are no Doom style closet monsters here. If you can get into it, F.E.A.R. can creep you out pretty good.

Here is hoping this demo has the same effect as the F.E.A.R. 1 demo did on me all those years ago. Check back later this month for our impressions!
