Cats Of Thondor: The Game
We would like to introduce to you Cats Of Thondor. You may be saying to yourself, "But I'm at Cats Of Thondor right now!", and that would be correct. However, this time we are bringing it to you in the form of interactive media... otherwise known as a video game. The game is currently in development and combines old-school platforming and light RPG elements.
Matt is creating/composing the art and music, while I'll be handling the programming. The art has taken on a paper-craft type feel, and it adds a nice, stylish touch to our vision. The music will be originally composed, and, as always with Matt's music, it will be curious and entertaining. Matt designs everything in Photoshop CS3 and will be composing the musical score in Finale 2008. On the programming side of things, the game is being developed using Python 2.5 and the recently released pyglet library.
Inspiration for the game are all of the platforming genre, including: Mario, Castlevania, Sonic, even Knytt Stories, which we've reviewed. The game is only in its beginning stages, however the single screenshot above is from an actual running version. We will be sure to update this page as well as the main blog with any future information, and we hope you are looking forward to it as much as we are.
